NOPA/NFPA MILITARY OUTREACH PROGRAM

Here is a great way to support our Military.  NOPA and NFPA both participate in the Military Outreach Program.  This program collects items to send to our brave men and women currently serving overseas.  These items are not readily available to them and they really enjoy receiving them along with information about our Association.

We just received a Thank You card from the USS Enterprise Legal Department.  Here are a few of their notes:

"NOPA, Thank you so much for the care package.  I used to live in New Orleans and I love Zapps.  Seeing your care package brought back many happy memories, and really brightened my day.  Best wishes, Legalman Second Class Lesley"

"NOPA, Thank you so much for the care package you sent!!! Your support means the world us!  We all enjoyed the Spicy Cajun Crawtator Chips, never had them before!  Warm Regards, LN2 Glencora"

"NOPA, In 21 years care packages such as this continue to make me proud of serving people such as yourselves.  Thank you.  Legalman Chief, Ruby"

These are just three of the many thank yous NOPA receives each time a care package is sent.

Here's how it works:  At each NOPA General Membership Meeting a collection will be taken of items that NOPA will box and mail to a designated military base or ship.  The boxes will be mailed on a quarterly basis.  The items will be distributed to the Troops along with Notes from NOPA thanking them for their service and telling them a little about ourselves and where we live.

If you would like to participate but are unable to bring an item to the meetings, cash donations will be accepted so that phone cards may be purchased.  Below is a list of suggested items that may be donated:
